The design size is approximately 90 x 90 cm.

The history of this design dates back approximately 410 years.

This design can be seen on the side wall of the main gate of the tomb of Emperor Akbar, the third Mughal emperor and one of the greatest rulers of the Mughal Empire.

The tomb is a mausoleum built by his son Jahangir between 1605 and 1613. It covers an area of approximately 119 acres and is located in Sikandra, on the outskirts of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The building is constructed primarily of deep red sandstone with white marble accents throughout.
Inlaid panels of red sandstone, white marble, and black slate decorate the mausoleum and main gate buildings.

The panel designs consist of geometric and vegetal motifs, a precursor to the more intricate and delicate designs that were later incorporated into another beautiful tomb, the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, in Agra.

The designs are prepared in a unique traditional way, combining circles and structural lines to form geometric designs. The angles and balance of the components (parts) within each shape are calculated with geometric precision.
