The size of the design is 90 x 90 cm.

The history of this design dates back to about 628 years ago.

The design embellishes one of the walls of the Princesses Palace Tower in Alhambra, Granada, Andalucia.

The palace tower was built around 1393-1394 during the reign of Emir Muhammad VII. It is a two-storey structure located on the eastern rampart between the Captive's Tower and the Tower at the End of the Street. The tower is considered one of the last important buildings of the Alhambra's Islamic era.

Its current name is linked to the legend of the three Princesses: Zaida, Zoraida, and Zorahaida as written by Washington Irving in his book “Tales of the Alhambra”.

The pattern is made according to the Zellij method, which is a style of mosaic tilework made from individually hand-chiseled tile pieces.

This method of presenting Islamic geometric art is popular in the west of the Islamic World such as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Andalusia.

We have prepared the blueprint for this design according to the original traditional method that uses circles and constructional lines to produce the geometric design, where the proportion between the angles of the shapes and the component elements is precisely geometrically controlled.
