The size of the design is approximately 90 x 66 cm.

The history of this design dates back about 400 years.

This fascinating pattern decorates the interior and exterior walls of the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, which is an Islamic mausoleum of the Mughal Empire, just like the Taj Mahal.

The tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah is located in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, India. Built between 1622 and 1628, the tomb uses the same white marble and pietra dura inlay technique as the Taj Mahal.

Similar basic designs and their derivatives can be seen in historical Islamic architecture in other regions of the Islamic world, such as Turkey, Andalusia (The ancient Islamic region that currently includes Spain and Portugal.), and Morocco.

We have prepared the blueprint for this design according to the original traditional method that uses circles and constructional lines to produce the geometric design, where the proportion between the angles of the shapes and the component elements is precisely geometrically controlled.
